Alhambra Scholarship Program 2024 - 25 

The aim of these scholarships is to encourage the study of the Spanish classical guitar, as a way of contributing to the development of this cultural activity. Therefore, there is nothing better than doing so by supporting future guitarists.

Alhambra Guitars Foundation is aware of the important contribution that can make to the new generations of young guitarists with the announcement of these grants. For this reason, Alhambra Guitars continues investing in young people and adds the necessary efforts to extend the diffusion and impulse in favour of classical guitar students.

Working for a greater recognition and support of their artistic careers has been and will be one of our greatest commitments. Proof of this is the Alhambra Junior International Guitar Competition, which encourages young people and the support of the winners of the last editions of the Alhambra International  Guitar Competition CIGA. Together with other high level  guitarists, they are part of that great "Alhambra Family" that we want to take care of and expand every day.

In this sense and with the purpose of encouraging and rewarding the effort of young students, Alhambra Guitars Foundation offers these Scholarships to help them in the study of this great instrument during the course 2024 - 25.

1. Financial Provision

SCHOLARSHIP A: For higher education students.

• One scholarship of € 1,000.

SCHOLARSHIP B: For students who have completed a first year and continue their guitar studies.

• Two scholarships of € 500 each.

SCHOLARSHIP C: For students starting guitar studies.

• Five scholarships of € 100 each.

2. Beneficiaries

All students officially enrolled in a conservatory, school, or authorized official center, whether public or private, during the 2024 – 2025 academic year, may apply for this scholarship.

Scholarships must be requested by the enrolled student.

If the student is a minor, the applicant will be the student beneficiary of the aid, and documentation from the parent/legal guardian will be required for legal purposes.

Only one scholarship may be requested per person.

Students who have received a scholarship in one round must wait one year before applying for another scholarship.

3. Completion and Submission of the Application

The application must be completed and submitted exclusively through the designated online platform, accessible via the portal:

No other forms of documentation will be accepted.

The following data and documentation must be provided:

3.1. From the Applicant:

• Personal Data:
  • Official identification document of the applicant. If a minor, the document of the legal representative or guardian.
• Academic Data:
  • Proof of enrollment from the official center.
• For students applying for Scholarship A:
  • List of subjects and grades for the year 2023/2024.

4. Award Criteria

Modality A, B, and C:

• Scholarships in modality A will be awarded based on merit.
• Scholarships in sections B and C will be awarded through a lottery. Awardees must provide proof of enrollment in an official center.

A waiting list will be created to replace any withdrawn awardees with other previously non-awarded applicants.

5. Beneficiaries' Obligations

Upon receiving the scholarship award notification via email, awardees must:

a) Provide the necessary documentation to process the scholarship payment.

b) Pursue the studies for which the scholarship was awarded.

c) Participate and collaborate in events organized by the Fundación Alhambra Guitarras for the promotion and communication of this call.

Failure to meet any of these obligations will result in the forfeiture of the awarded scholarship.

6. Submission, Resolution, and Acceptance Deadlines

Applications are open from September 18 to October 31 at 23:59.

The provisional resolution will be published by November 15, 2024, at the latest, with a 10-day period for any appeals, which must be well-founded and justified. Appeals due to missing documentation will not be considered.

The final resolution will be announced by November 25, 2024, at the latest.

Resolutions will be verified on the same digital platform where the application was submitted.

Additionally, scholarship recipients will be notified via email.

Results of the Alhambra Scholarships 2024 / 25

The Alhambra Guitars Foundation is pleased to announce the results of the Alhambra International Scholarships 2024 / 25.

Our main objective is to promote the study of the classical guitar and there is nothing better than to do so by supporting future generations of guitarists.

The Alhambra Guitarras Foundation is committed to young people and is making the necessary efforts to increase the dissemination and promotion of classical guitar students.
